的学校和系都适用。前面有朋友提到的抽10-20%作为summer pay，至少对于我目前拿过
的grants不适用。
* For an NSF grant, you can get at most 2-month salary in any one year. In
fact, no matter how many active NSF grants you have, you can get at most 2-
month salary in total per year.
* Other federal and state agencies, I don't know. I suppose the salary from
these sources is not limited by the 2-month NSF policy.
* If you have industrial grants or gift money, I think you can get as much
salary as the grant allows.
* However, your university typically has an upper-limit on the number of
months that you can be paid.
So let's look at an example. Suppose the upper-limit in your school is 12
months. You are paid for 9-month teaching in Fall/Spring, you have 1 NSF
grant with budget for 1-month salary and an industrial grant with budget for
1-month salary. Then you will be paid for 11 months. If both of your NSF
and industrial grants allow 2-month salary, then you need to rebudget, and
you can get at most 3-month from these 2 grants.
* You can have other income source such as consulting. That is not
constrained by the above rules, but you need to report your effort (in terms
of #hours spent on it) to your university.

情况, 而不是按个比例"提成". 如果我拿个3万块的grant, 其中budget了一个月的
summer pay, 我可以"抽"20%以上; 反之, 如果我的funding比较足, summer pay满了,
overload (有的学校允许)也满了, 那我再拿多少grant也"提成"不了. 不少federal
funding都会限制summer pay的数目(比如不超过两个月等等). 当然, 钱多了可以要求
Dean涨工资, 那是另一回事了.

呵呵， 想的真美啊！
简单的说吧， 在一定的情况下（比如说你已经有了两个R01，也天牛了，现在工资20万
），
这个时候，如果你再拿到一个NIH一千万的大课题，
那么，你的工资依然是20万，除非系里面看到你贡献突出马上给你涨到25万， 否则，
这个千万课题对你的工资没有任何影响, 你一分钱多的都拿不到。
当然， 商业课题会不一样， 但是这个工作量百分数是要受到学校核算的。

",不排除特殊情况你能拿的工资正好是你grant的10-20%, 但这不是general rule, 你

装成熟.

出现钱， 当然开会花消啥的比较充足， 要不是就是借学生的名义拿钱出来。
