印象。一顿饭吃下来，不停的挑刺，极端mean和不客气。但是，最后dean还有senior
associate dean for research还是把offer给了我。我感觉吃饭不是关键。关键是那些
关键的人对你的research感兴趣觉得有价值。
有些senior的人做的研究很可能过时的，他们对新人很mean，有的时候是一种恐惧。现
在那个一起吃饭的senior退休了，我再没见过他。而两个jurnior，做的极差， 我觉得
tenure是没戏了。
所以，好好回想一下，见多数senior faculty还有dean, chair什么的时候，他们的态
度如何，对你做的东西感兴趣不。。不要被一顿晚饭打趴了。 | S**********l

one senior faculty. He always bossed me around, say similarly: "no", "that
is not right", etc. He even hinted to me that he will be next Department
head. I was very upset. Immediately, that school was my lowest backup. Later
I heard that this guy made a lot of troubles in the department and
university and was fired.
So, do not care much! Of course, if you have more choices, this one should
not be your No.1.
