Hello:
I thought it would be helpful to provide an update on XXX faculty search as
some time has passed since the application deadline of XXX, 2012.
We have received over 500 applications for these faculty positions and the
search committee has been diligently and thoroughly reviewing all of them.
At this time, we are reviewing in batches, depending on the date of your
application, and are contacting eligible candidates for phone interviews and
further consideration. We anticipate inviting eligible candidates to XXX
for on-campus interviews some time in the next few months with a target date
of having new faculty on board in January 2013.
We appreciate your patience as we work through the search process; do let me
