现在提升,Ap to Assoc, 7 years, to prof, need 6-7 more years. 这个进程越来越
长。普通学校好像都按照这个进程的，名校是固定的，还是灵活的？ | f******h

发帖数: 6059 | 4 就是越来越长。我们这里连拿了K，甚至是R01的都只能做RAP两年，然后才能看情况成
为AP。AP升Assoc再要7年，真的是漫长的道路。

发帖数: 107 | 7 I think it depends. I do not know your major. In the engineering school of
my institution, quite a few of us (all originally from China) spend 9-10
years to get to the Professor rank (which includes early tenure). My friends
in another state (California, also in Engineering) see similar statistics.
