called me and I just negotiated him with the salary and relocation fees. The
Dean said that he would prepare a case for me to request an increase in
salary to their administrators and would get back to me immediately. The
Dean even checked that I would be by my phone yesterday. I had waited for
the Dean's call the whole day but hadn't received any call from him. Around
5:00 pm yesterday the Dean just dropped a short line via email that he would
get back to me soon... then no news today. Just wondering whether he would
talk with the other candidates and if the other candidates accept the offer
at the present price probably my application would be a good-by case. |

in job hunting actually has generated not just more grey hairs on my head
but also some abnormal psychiatric personality -- doubtful, pessimistic...

不要担心，学校决定给你这个offer是经历一系列流程的，他们给第一个版本offer时候
就是做好了你要讨价还价的准备和余地的。而且就算实在提不了了，也会通知你说，这
个是我们能给的最高了，即便你不接受，我们也没法加了，你到底接不接受。 他们不
会你一谈工资就立马回去返工，再折腾一次找下一个人的，更麻烦。
