talk，后来那个系主任也发email给我说希望我能申请。那么我写cover letter的时候
，第一句话可以说 Dear Professor XXX, It was great to meet you at the XXX
conference，然后接着说I would like to submit my application blahblah吗？ 还
是应该上来就说 Dear professor XXX, I would like to submit my application....
第一种写法会不会显得不正式？ |

另外当时conference上我们talk完了 回来他写email给我 说it was great meeting
you 然后是i hope you will apply for this position 这是一般的标准客套话 还是
比较positive的feedback? |
