。一般和他们谈什么呀？LD的有两篇一作十分左右的生物文章，找faculty位子有点困
难，但是postdoc又没意思。求支招，万分感谢 | j*****r

This is assuming that you already have an informal offer.
Postdoc or RAP type of positions are easy for the university to create. But
if your LD wants a TT job, then you should demand that and negotiate from
there as much as possible. If you start by saying something like 'I'm
flexible and can accommodate', then they will lowball you from the beginning
and it's hard to negotiate.

发帖数: 48 | 4 As a spouse, the two RAP offers I got includes 3-5 year of salary and either
zero or a very small amount of start-up. It was expected that I work mostly
using equipment from other labs. It was also expected that I will get
grants soon to support myself beyond the initial term.
Whether RAP can switch to TT is hard to say. I have seen someone switched to
tenured after 20 years.. but then I also saw someone switched to TT after 1
year. There must also be many who left... | s*****e
