It is a great pleasure meeting and talking with you during my campus visit.
I believe xxx University is right place for me to continue my research and
teaching interest to be most successful. And xxx University is the best
place that I could build up the collaboration inside the department and
across the university for my research to reach the next level and have
broader impact for my long term goals. xxx University is definitely the 1st
choice for me to work at.
I am trying to follow up with your search process, since recently I received
an very competitive offer from xxx University. It is very hard for me to
decline that. Can you please kindly let me know if you are still interested
in my application?

unless it is a very comparable school. Usually, if you are their first
choice, knowing the fact that you already have an offer is scary enough for
them and they will speed things up. |
