不知道那种每天都带的戒指会不会因为常接触化学物质而变色? | p******m 发帖数: 758 | 2 White gold, yes, they will turn a little bit yellow after a while. It's gold
, after all.
platinum, no. It's naturally white/grey.
Although in most cases, the sheer shiny whiteness you see is generally from
a layer of Rhodium coating. Rhodium is very rare, and is very very white.
The coating will wear off, leaving your "white gold" rings a bit yellow and
your "platinum" rings a bit grey and dull.
If you really want your rings to be always white and shiny, you can re-do
the coating periodically. | s*******l 发帖数: 2093 | 3 wow, so professional!
那最开始的一层Rhodium也是镀上去的?
怪不得我的wedding band之前锃亮锃亮,老公说像不锈钢。现在却灰不溜秋的。我还说
着platium怎么磨损这么厉害。

Rhodium coating is actually not very expensive. My last coating cost about
30 dollars? I don't remember.
I think regular polishing procedure should make your rings shiny again, but
if you want the extra whiteness,
you might consider Rhodium coating. I think most jewelers should be able to
do that.
