Although it is summer now, here in Vegas, it is scorching, I still want to
write this: my spring devotion.
Every girl has her own version of fairy tale fantasy. I am no exception at
all. You ask? How old are you? I have to admit that I am a little bit older
than the average. Yes, I am 25. You see, I have dated and dated lots of men
to look for my prince charming with shinning armor to come rescue me. Over
the years, I have learned how to date them, screen them, detect the red
flags, and finally ditch them. The rule of the thumb is that you have to
date enough men to increase your sample size, thus the chances to meet your
prince charming will be much higher. But really? “ I am happy to be single,
” you say. “ I don’t need a man in my life.” The thing is you are not
happy to be single, you are comfortable to be single. Underneath the surface
, when you sit in an empty living room at night, all you want is to have
someone to hold you through the night. But before the arrival of my prince
charming, I decide to enjoy solitude and be the best of me, of course, date
lots of men! Here are my rules!
1. Work hard to improve myself (confidence, feminine, career…etc.).
2. Honor yourself! When you truly honor yourself, others will fall into
line.
3. Believe that you are worthy of respect and kindness and loyalty and
love!!!!
4. You are your priority of your life; others have to earn their
priority in your life.
5. Fall in love with his action, NOT WORDS! So ladies, it is best to
hold your emotion first before you jump the ship!
6. Be respectful and kind towards men!!!! Don’t be a nagging bitch!
7. Take control of your own emotions! DON’T BE A NEEDY GIRL! Needy
just screams for desperation. Get a life and get yourself busy!
8. Don’t be afraid to speak up and let men know your opinions! If he
loves you, he would appreciate that!
9. Learn to say NO!
10. Willing to walk away when you NEED to. Despite how handsome and
successful he is, if he is not the right one and with so many red flags,
please RUN as fast as you can away from him.
11. Remember: You don’t NEED a man, but you WANT a man : )
12. Oh here comes the punch: What’s the best way to know if a man
really loves you. When he asks to be physical with you in the beginning of
the dating stage, SAY NO! Players have no time, they just run off to go for
the next girl or get angry. LOL
Last I want to say, true divas refuse to lower themselves to chasing a man
through cyberspace (or anywhere)! Your value and your worth and your
fabulousness will never be wrapped up in another human being. The only
person you have to live with every day for the rest of your life is yourself
, so start with making her happy and the rest will fall into place.
I want to end this with Helen Rowland’s words
A man is like a cat: chase him and he will run, sit still and ignore him and
he will come purring at your feet. :)
