发帖数: 9137 | 3 The river will not crest in Pool 9 for at least two weeks yet,
and will not be going down significantly until at least early May. That is
how things look without any additional rainfall, which is supposed to come
above us in the watershed about 4 of the next 7 days. All the tributaries up
in MN and northern WI are heading back up to a second crest now.
The fish still have to eat. Fish close to dry land, wherever you find it.
Fish very slow, and use baits that have scent, either live bait or scented.
Rocks, willows, and even up in the woods just off the current can have some
fish.
Fished last sat, bite was slow off the barge, had to work to get them. The bite was very light. Bright colors(Pink/White killer jigs and stinger hooks were a must!!! Caught approx 20-25 walleye and sauger all day, but most were small, took home a few fish for supper. 1 Decent keeper eye and 4 good sauger that i would have taken on a great day. The water was very high and murky, but after it crests this week, water will begin dropping, clearing up, and wariming which means= GOOD FISHING! Will be back up once the river conditions are better! | p**********8
