Here's the scoop:
Okuma Stratus STX series fishing reels (one of my favorites) are on
clearance @ Dick's B&M. They are listed as $49.99 original, $24.97 clearance
. Thing is, they scan @ 50% off the CLEARANCE price, making the total $12.50
!!! This *seems* valid for any size (I got the 20, 30 and 40). These have
instant anti reverse, ultra smooth action. Primarily for fresh water, but if
you take care to rinse & treat them well after every use, you can use them
for salt water as well...
YMMV, as it's B&M and not every shop has them left in stock. Please note,
the STRATUS STX series is the one you want (should have red clearance
sticker), not the Sentry (much cheaper model). I don't know if this includes
the Avenger series, you'll have to work that out on your own.
This deal is valid even if the sticker shows original price, at least in
Northern Virginia...
