Newmans Bottom还碰到过他,并给了我朋友三条鱼.
下面是他的report:
Okay, here’s how it went down. I arrived at Newmans Bottom around 8am and
there were about twenty vehicles in the parking lot. As I approach the creek
I only see two people fishing. I asked them where is everyone. They said
that some of them went upstream but the majority have went downstream. So I
started fishing the holes right there around the bridge. With in a few
minutes I had four fish on the stringer and I thought is was going to be an
awesome day. Well it turns out that I was wrong. It took me nine hours to
get a limit. Now I didn’t go walking all over the creek like I use to, I
only fished about 100 yards downstream and maybe fifty yards upstream from
the bridge, and that was it.
I have several thoughts about what may be going on with the whites this year
, but they’re only my thoughts, so I’ll just keep my mouth shut.
With the water level dropping so fast and the water flow as it is today, the
fish in the lake can no longer get up into the creek. They also can not
return to the lake. Therefore, as each day goes by and stringers of fish are
being removed, it becomes much more difficult for one to catch a limit
since the fish population is not being replenished daily with fish coming up
from the lake into the creek. I could go on and on, but I wont. We need
some rain in the water shed this week in order to continue to catch limits
in a short period of time.
I was told by several people that the birds are working the surface like
crazy on the lake. They’re at Welch Park and all along the dam in the
mornings. So it sounds like the whites and hybrids are chasing balls of shad
on the lake already. I may have to hook up my boat and go check it out. It
doesn’t get any better than catching a bunch of whites and hybrids on a top
water bait.
Folks, there are fish in the creek to be caught, but you better be ready to
put in some extra time and effort to do so. And I’m sure I’ll receive a
few replies from those who caught their limit in a short period of time. But
I never said it could not be done, I only said you’re goanna have to work
for it.
This is very hard on my bad shoulders, but I wanted to at least get one
picture of myself holding a limit of fish in 2012. |

了多少条...
如果你想见到他,还有 hook-line&sinker等大牛人,本月17号他们在Nails Creek park
要搞个WB fishing clinic,可以去学个一招半式的. 他们在Yegua creek, sommerville
的钓龄都有二三十年了... 还有现场教学.最后还有fry fish 吃.还可以跟名人照照相
什么的. 免费的哦.

发帖数: 1916 | 32 这老头昨天(三八节) 又一次limit out了,只花了三个小时:
To begin with, I had no intensions of going fishing today. But I got to
thinking about the forecast of that rain and cooler weather for the next few
days and how it could put a slow down on the bite, so I loaded up and hit
the creek while it was still in the middle 70’s. For the first time this
year I saw several fish spawning in the shallow moving water. To me that’s
a good thing, because the fish are on a constant move up and down the creek.
I only fished 100 to 150 yards downstream from the bridge today at Newmans
Bottom. I caught fish in every little hole, deep or shallow, it made no
difference. I can honestly say that today was an awesome day. It was a
little on the wet side every now and then due to rain , but well worth every
second.
I caught all of my fish on a 1/32oz. white crappie jig fished slow a long
the bottom. I saw one more guy with a limit who was catching his fish on a
blue head jig with a black body chartreuse tail grub. I might go back in the
morning just for grins.
All fish were caught at Newmans Bottom today..........

发帖数: 1916 | 74 这老头昨天(三八节) 又一次limit out了,只花了三个小时:
To begin with, I had no intensions of going fishing today. But I got to
thinking about the forecast of that rain and cooler weather for the next few
days and how it could put a slow down on the bite, so I loaded up and hit
the creek while it was still in the middle 70’s. For the first time this
year I saw several fish spawning in the shallow moving water. To me that’s
a good thing, because the fish are on a constant move up and down the creek.
I only fished 100 to 150 yards downstream from the bridge today at Newmans
Bottom. I caught fish in every little hole, deep or shallow, it made no
difference. I can honestly say that today was an awesome day. It was a
little on the wet side every now and then due to rain , but well worth every
second.
I caught all of my fish on a 1/32oz. white crappie jig fished slow a long
the bottom. I saw one more guy with a limit who was catching his fish on a
blue head jig with a black body chartreuse tail grub. I might go back in the
morning just for grins.
All fish were caught at Newmans Bottom today..........

们.第二天在TFF上看帖,才知道就是他老人家,哈哈... |

creek里都是泥浆水了，鱼咬钩不行，除非用bait才能钓几条。
不过下了雨，creek里水位再高点，更多的鱼才能游上来，下个周末应该更好。 |
