I saw "Jerome Bixby's The Man From Earth" at a festival recently and loved
it. The movie reminds me of the golden age of science fiction when ideas and
imagination were more important than goo-dripping aliens or fireball
explosions. Like "Twelve Angry Men", this film is not limited by its
singular location; to the contrary -- as in that classic film, the intense
emotions are only heightened by the semi-claustrophobic conditions. The
script is by a master of the craft, and the actors all rise to the challenge
. The directing is understated in a manner rarely seen today. If you can
possibly see this on a big screen, you owe it to yourself to try. Days later
I couldn't stop thinking (or talking) about it!

This was a great film. Hardcore Christians are always going to give it a bad
rating, because it questions their beliefs. If you're not a fundamentalist
Christians and you have an open mind (which you'd have if you weren't a
fundamentalist Christian), give this one a try. | I***a 发帖数: 13467 | | d*******s 发帖数: 528 | 3 这个看过5,6遍吧。
