发帖数: 16778 | 9 go to walmart to buy a gallon of milk.
drink up the milk and take the container.
When fishing, go to the bank of a lake and
pick up small stone or sand along the bank.
Put the small stone or sand into the milk container.
Use a rope to tie the container at the handle. Tie the other end to the
kayak.
Throw the container with the small stone or sand into water, when you want
to anchor your kayak.
If it gets tangled, cut the rope and leave.
when backing to the bank, remove the cap of the container
and dump all small stone or sand into a place where
next time you can find them and use them again.
Put your milk container and rope into kayak's cockpit. Next time use them
again.
tips: the bigger the cap is, the better the container is.

go to auto shop and buy a pair of new brake rotors,
remove your old ones (suppose they are worn out and need to be replaced)
and put on the new ones.
The old ones can be use for anchoring. One for the head of kayak,
another for the tail of kayak.

注意安全，如果有激流和浪，有时候要把锚丢了，所以锚绳上面要装个浮漂，事后好拿
回来。有一次20+公里以上的风里，我下了锚，一个浪头过来，因为锚拉着kayak, 进了
半船的水，赶紧扯起了锚，走人

it should be very dangerous to anchor under that wind condition.
Even Paddling under that wind is dangerous too, especially when you cross
into the wind vertically.

发帖数: 718 | 14 谢谢提醒。20km+ 不是英里。但是阵风（wind gust)和风口的风速要比预报大好多。
不管顺风逆风， 我个人感觉是斜切风向走，比较容易。

20km/h?
it's 12 mph.
Under 12mph wind, anchoring or paddling should be fine.

些就不行了。后来又买了一个1.5kg的可折叠爪锚(CAD$30)，只要不是大河激流，都可
以了。
如果是克农，我用1.5kg的静水小风也行。我还有个10磅的大爪锚，克农就完全足够应
付大部分情况了，就是太重，一般不用。
爪锚不靠重量，靠张开的四个爪。
