发帖数: 90 | 1 Went to Cowan Lake (SW Ohio) yesterday (06/03) afternoon to do some damage
to this small lake which is OVERPOPULATED with crappie.
Started jigging along the bank at 2:00pm, landed around 130 crappies till 5:
30pm. (After throwing back 20+ fish, my father in law started to count.)
The fish were very small. Most of them were about 8", some even below 6".
Kept only two, one 12" and the other about 12.5". Also caught several
largemouth and saugeye, all small and released. (The largest LM was about 1 | b****n
发帖数: 90 | 2 fishfinder, thank you. Yeah, it's really fun. The tips I talked about before
might be applied to a "normal" water, not for this one where there are so many
fish competing for food. In common sense, 2:00pm--5:30pm is definitely very
bad time to do fishing. The fish in this lake were just insane, not restricted
by any natural conditions. I will go there again for more fun. Should have
pulled out more fish if there were not that many people there during the
weekend.
