最近在UF得了一个不错的offer, 犹豫要不要去。
Houston
优点: 本地，不用搬家，大城市，转身方便(工作机会多)。
缺点: 工资比下面一个少$12K， 给老板打工。
Gainesville
优点: faculty 位置，工资较高而且有保证(政府发工资)，给政府打工，比较稳定。
缺点: 要搬家，小城市，转身不方便(工作机会不多,但被雷的可能性也小(大学政府工)。
佛州的朋友给点评一下。 |

发帖数: 32207 | 3 相对而言gainesville最大的缺点就是华人相关的各方面都跟houston有相当大差距
如果是对美国人来说,gainesville还是一个很适合居住的城市的
所以我的建议,你可以权衡一下,看看华人相关服务业零售业在你心中的权重了:)
另外我印象里gainesville的property tax好像比houston还略低些:)

It is better than AP.
