Steelers head coach Bill Cowher said today he's stepping down to spend more
time with his family at their home in North Carolina: "After careful and
deliberate consideration I've decided to resign today. I've given it a lot
of thought and believe it's in the best interests of my family and myself at
this time." The Steelers immediately will begin the search to find his
successor.
