x****m 发帖数: 130 | 1 First of all let me show off my starting championship team in a super
competitive league (0.5 PPR):
Week 16 starters:
QB-Freeman (FA wk 6)
RB-Choice (FA wk 11)
RB-Peyton Hillis (FA pre-season)
WR-Roddy the White (2nd rd)
WR-Michael Williams (TB) (Through Trade Wk 8 - for FA pick L.Blount)
WR-Anthony Armstrong (FA wk 14)
TE-Jacob Tamme (FA wk 8)
K-Buehler (FA wk 14)
DST-Eagles (FA wk 15)
Backups:
RB-MJD (1st rd no.3 overall)
TE-Antonio Gates (5th rd)
RB-L.T (8th rd)
WR-Blair White (FA wk 15)
RB-T Gerhart (FA Wk 15)
DST-Dallas Cowboys (FA wk 13)
Drafted but no longer with the team: J.Best (4th Rd), S.Smith (NYG, 3rd), R.
Bush (6th), J.Cutler (7th), D.Mason, L.Evans, L.Naanee, Hartley
This team doesn't have a true super star in real life aside from maybe Jones
Drew or Roddy, and started to deteriote at the end, but it gave me the
league best record 11-2, 9 straight wins and a superbowl ring.
So here I want to share what I think is key to my good year:
1. Consistency is the key (small volatility)
From drafting to FA pick I wanted to get guys who can consistently perform,
rather than giving me 30 pts one game, and 0 the next. (Sorry Andre Johnson,
Dwyane Bowe and Djax)
Especially at WR, I want someone who can give me around 7-8 pts every game.
Steve Smith is a over reach, but I got Williams from Tampa to replace him.
Worked out great.
2. Solid RB1
I haven't researched, but I think if you draft one of the top 5 RBs, you
have a huge edge over the other early round RBs. People had to settle with S
.Greene, Ryan Mathews, Ryan Grant and scramble to get a replacement.
3. Start RB at flex
RB usually is more consistent than WR. Because of the injury to MJD, I had
to start a WR (A.Armstrong) at flex in the championship game and he gave me
a mere 2 pts.
4. Pick up a Stud TE
Gates and later Tamme is one of the reason I can won straight games. To me a
solid TE is even more important than WR1.
Also here are some other thoughts:
1. Too much hype is bad
Since I was the top dog all the time. I always got the 12th free agent pick.
Ironically my waiver picks are more valuable than the No.1 waiver such as
Denario Alexander.
2. To handcuff or not to handcuff
I'm not a fan of handcuffing because 1st, being superstitious, I think
fantasy god decides the outcome of the game, 2nd, backup may not perform as
well when he becomes starter. Rashard Jennings at home against Red Skins is
a good example,
in the champion game, my opponent benched L.Blount for him. 3. There is
opportunity cost when you occupy your bench with someone you don't intend to
start.
3. Start your stud no matter what or play match-up
I believe in playing match-up. Especially for kickers or RB against Steelers
or WR1 in Revis land.
At last, here is my secret weapon: watch a lot of college football (or at
least SEC). That's how I know Hillis or Tamme before everybody else. SEC
rules! And Go hogs, beat the No.1 gang OSU... Hahaha... | g******s 发帖数: 3647 | 2 前面都是伏笔。。。厚厚
