密西根，俄亥俄等老字号power house，一个体育馆能坐十万多人，nfl里还没有一个
stadium有如此规模。notre dame的球迷更是遍布全国各个角落
橄榄球队给学校的创收支持了无数其他项目和研究。。。

Also according to a poll, nfl is 2~3 times more popular than college football. I
think the main reason ncaa looks popular is that there is neither attraction nor
distraction around those college towns.
A 2008 Harris poll asked people who follow at least one sport 'what is your
favorite sport to watch?'
Pro football 30%
College football 12%
That same Harris Poll in earlier years -
2002: 27% NFL, 9% college football
1998: 26% NFL, 9% college football
2004: 30% NFL, 11% college football
2006: 29% NFL, 13% college football
(by the way, baseball averages 15%)
