I have been a huge fan of Martin Mayhew for the last 2 years and he has done
a tremendous job in terms of building up the talents for Lions and sticking
to his visions very strictly.
I am a big fan of Stafford and expect him to be the prime-time QB of the
league.
But I have not become a fan of Jim Schwartz yet and he will show me how good
he really is in the coming season.
Detroit Lions appear to have glaring needs at CBs, LBs and OLs. But I
somehow feel the needs for those positions has been exaggerated as I somehow
believe players like Alphonso Smith, Amari Spievey, Chris Houston, Bobby
Carpenter, Jason Fox etc could step up to the plate and perform a lot better
than people give them credit for right now. Furthermore, with the current D
-line the Lions have, they don't need superior backfield protections. But of
course I believe Mayhew will work extremely hard to bring some quality free
agents once it is allowed to fill those needs. This guy never stops working.
Just look at the D-line this team has (Suh, Fairley, KVB, Corey Williams,
Cliff Avril, Lawrence Jackson), I am pretty sure that many QBs will be
scared to play against them in the upcoming season.
Please also look at the offense power this team possesses: Stafford, Calvin
Johnson, Best/Leshoure, Burleson/TD Young, Brandon Pettigrew/Tony Scheffler.
If Stafford stays healthy and continues his development, this offense will
be VERY VERY explosive. If you play fantasy, you have to pick some guys from
this team. With the defense they currently have, the Lions should have big
advantages in terms of time of possession, thus more points will likely be
scored.
From now on, I will put some bets on Lions making the SB. This year not very
likely, but the Odds should go much higher next season. | b******d
发帖数: 9694 | 2 Last season, picking Chiefs to win the division and picking Packers to go to
SB (both bets made before preseason started, also put some money on Texans,
Steelers and Ravens making SB in preseason) made me some huge bucks. However
most of my bets for playoff games went busted.
This season, once CBA is reached and the season is confirmed, I will put quite
some money on Lions taking the division (and some tiny bets on Lions making the SB), Chiefs/Texans taking the division
and making the SB (more on Chiefs than Texans, as I am really not sold on
Matt Schaub but I am a huge fan of Todd Haley/Pioli), Buccs taking the
division (I am down on Falcons after they made such a ridiculous move in the
draft), Rams taking the Division. Of course, most of these bets will be
placed during preseason games and right before regular season starts. Will
add more money on certain bets after some games.
This year AFC should win the SB. | w***f
