至少在21世纪第一个十年，死追汗怎么也是前三的DE，李爱在safety位置长期以来也是
前三，而且safety在广东认可度上似乎要低一些

rings.
And Haley is down another notch because he's a pure pass-rush specialist.
Run defense, though in his job description, wasn't something he did well on,
or cared to do well on.
Go check out Sapp or Strahan's tackle #s, especially stuffs.

发帖数: 60 | 17 因为warren moon是老黑，他那个时候NFL里面几乎没有老黑QB，好像只有randall
cunningham和他两人。所以算是对那时候不给黑人QB机会的补偿，warren moon也就算
是个“先锋人物”。其实他也就是个 B level的QB。
randall cunningham是当时能跑能传的代表人物，但他老是受伤。

I value a football player's ability to change a game, and how serious his
opponent treats him as a player. stat is also very important.
Charles Haley is a 6foot5 260pbs OLB/DE combo with great strength and
awesome speed. His main job is pass rush, stop the run is not really his
thing. most of time when he played for SF or Cowboys, he was the lone man on
D line who can constantly rush the QB, and a lot of times, he was double-
teamed. he was doing drugs and other BS late in his career, if he had more
dedication and took care himself a little better, he can even be a greater
player.

Warren Sapp is good, but not first ballot HOF good. He got a lot of hype
from media. He played DT on a 4-3 defense, not a premium nose tackle on a 3-
4 defense. I didn't see a lot of double team when he played, he was not
feared as Charles Haley or Michael Strahen. IMHO, sometimes he is not even
the best defense line man on his own team. (Simeon Rice)

I also disagree what you said about DT is a (far) more premium position than
DE. Big strong fast DEs are more important position than DT in this day and
age. you can see it from how they get paid...julius peppers 6yr/91mil,
mario williams 6yr/96mil...they set the record almost every year. if not for
the crazy owner of the redskins, albert haynesworth will not get 7yr/100mil
, and Ngata the great DT form the Ravens, only gets 5yr/60 mil. why? because
premium DEs can change the game with one blow, and constantly give pressure
to the QBs, to stop the passing game.
DT is a (far) more premium position than DE. You cannot simply just
countrings.
And Haley is down another notch because he's a pure pass-rush specialist.
