play selection and execution.
there are literally hundreds of plays and formation in the playbook, but
only 10 to 20ish plays are used in one game. even if you have my playbook,
and know all my plays, you still don't know what my next play will be out of
the 100 possible plays.
it's like paper scissor rock. you know all my play selections are only these
3, but can you beat me consistently.
unless you know the game preparation the week before the game, and the
halftime adjustment. stuffs from last year won't help much.

one teams current coaching staff may
have worked at 10 different other teams. does that mean the team know some
secrets about those 10 other teams? if so, then after a few years, everyone
knows everyone else's stuffs.
