The 4,233-square foot house was bought in 2000.
Simpson had moved to Florida to dodge a multi-million dollar civil judgement
against him for the death of Ron Goldman.
Simpson was acquitted in a Los Angeles criminal court of charges he killed
Goldman and his ex-wife Nicole. He was found liable in a subsequent civil
case brought by Goldman’s family.
In 2008, Simpson was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas
and sentenced to 33 years in prison.
Simpson reportedly hasn’t made any payments on the Florida house in more
than 3 years.
Last year Forbes reported that process servers for the bank repeatedly tried
to serve the foreclosure notice on Simpson at the house, even though he’d
already been in jail for three years.
The home is set to be auctioned online on Oct. 29, the Post reported. |
