Li’s parents – Warren Li is a stock broker and Amy Zeng previously worked
at Hewlett Packard – are in North Carolina this week but prefer staying in
the background. They politely declined interview requests.
Zeng did clarify the family’s back story a bit. She and Li grew up in China
and moved to the Bay Area from Australia in 1998. Lucy Li was born four
years later at Stanford Hospital.
