Wednesday afternoon, with Jets reporters on a conference call with Buffalo
Bills rookie receiver Sammy Watkins, Ryan casually walked in the door and
took a seat in front of the speaker phone.
After Watkins finished answering a question from another reporter, Ryan
hopped on.
"Sammy, I've got a question," Ryan said. "How did you help Set Ryan (Rex's
son who plays at Clemson, Watkins' alum) out? How did he do out there? And
if you could really help him, you wouldn't play (Sunday versus the Jets.)"
Watkins, who seemed a little confused at what was transpiring, laughed it
off, before Ryan got back on for a follow-up question.
"This sounds like Rex Ryan, I know it does, but this is a reporter. How you
doing Sammy, you all right?" | y*******5
