The Chicago Cubs know how to throw a party.
As the club paraded through the downtown Chicago streets Friday on multiple
buses, hoisting their new silverware high for the city to see, Chicago
police estimated that five million people turned out along the route and at
Grant Park for the celebration's final stop, according to WGNtv.com.
For comparison's sake, the city of Chicago itself only has a population of 2
.7 million, as of 2015.
It turned out Friday's festivities were also record-breaking. With five
million people turning out for the celebrations, the Cubs' parade and rally
also made it as the seventh-largest human gathering in history, tied with
the 1995 World Youth Day in the Philippines. | s*****h 发帖数: 44903 | 2 http://www.fox32chicago.com/news/local/215601786-story
