Technically, Texans would've won had the Texans' LB not touched the Saints'
receiver and let the clock run for another 3 secs. Then do whatever to stop
him marching into end zone after clock expires. Because 1) the rules said
clock would still run even if Offense players's down by themselves. 2) They
cann't call TO in the middle of the game.
Am I missing anything here?

falling to the ground, or kneeling, and clearly making no immediate
effort to advance.
sliding feet-first on the ground. When a runner slides feet-first, the
ball is dead the instant he touches the ground with anything other than his
hands or his feet. |

发帖数: 1215 | 11 Got that. In this case, it was the receiver who was down. He would have to
get up and down to call for a dead ball. If I were Texans D, I would've
waited for him to get up and hold him not to get down for another 3 secs or
try to stripe the ball off him. Either way, not too hard to accomplish.
