assume x-rate, 6.35
cost = 800/6.35 = 126 usd
sell proceed from rmah to paypal = 190*0.72 = 137
profit = 137-126 = 11 usd
or 11/126 = 9%
i heard ppl sell billions gold in rmah daily.
one just need to trade 2 billion gold to get 220, that is equivalent to a
250 usd item sell in rmah.
the only question is, will you get banned for doing that? if so, what reason
do they ban you for? when you make 11 usd, they make 190-137 = 53 usd. why
do not they like you? |

....

gems should work better before 104 cause the artifical price floor for gold,
which was 250 for 100m. anyone with some economic exposure can argue why
price control is a disaster.
i do not think there is more trouble in this trade than that kind of trade
some people do for real physical goods, e.g. buy coach here and sell them in
taobao.
i see people mention flag, ban, but why and base on what ground will
blizzard do that? |

arbitrage.
if trading volumn is large enough, decent money can be made, easier than
shooting for a oceanview.

usd item is not that easy sell, it may takes days.
still do not quite get the part that blizzard will ban this if you trade too
much.
