It's one of the "surprises" GLS is claiming that CloudSat brings about. It
really depends on how one defines the word precipitation. BTW, I think GLS
means 28% of tropical clouds, not global average. Many of the stratocu are
actually drizzling.
GLS is a very skillful speaker. He first uses his rumbling Australian
