NORC's 2015 Summer Internship in Survey Research is a 40 hour per week paid
position for upper level undergraduates and graduate students with an
interest in social science research with a particular emphasis on survey
data and research. The program is designed to introduce Interns to the
design, implementation and analysis of large surveys conducted in all modes
including mail, phone, face-to-face and web-based. Interns will explore
recent innovations in data collection techniques, survey platforms, and the
integration of survey data with other types of data such administrative
records and social media.
Interns typically are assigned to an ongoing NORC survey project with a
focus on health, health care, education, or economic well-being, attend a
seminar series on principles of survey research, and conduct a small scale
study as an Intern group project. In the previous two years, Interns have

SunTrust Retail Credit Risk Management (CRM) establishes sound corporate
risk processes that focus on identifying, measuring, monitoring, reporting,
and managing the risks faced by the Retail organization of SunTrust Bank.
CRM’s core objective is to deliver sophisticated risk management
capabilities throughout SunTrust. In addition to its primary function of
managing Retail credit risk, CRM also maintains insight into risks managed
by other corporate risk stewards: Legal, Human Resources, Enterprise
Information Services, Finance/Treasury, amongst others throughout the Bank.
CRM is seeking a Credit Risk Intern for the summer of 2015. The intern
assignment is targeted for the period May 25 – August 7 (approx 11 weeks).
Intern work is targeted at 40 hours weekly but may be adjusted depending on
student availability and need for specific projects assigned. The position
provides competitive wages. This internship will be located in Atlanta,

The intern will be assigned to the Credit Risk Management Analytics team,

Jobs Description:
The candidate will gain exposure to hardware components such as Intel
servers, Ethernet networks and EMC Storage Arrays. The emphasis will be on
network service and how to create robust communication paths between EMC
products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Update and write new tools to help diagnose communication problems (
Wireshark dissector)
* Write test scripts to automate communication failure recovery scenarios
* Participate in developer engineering task (e.g. code reviews) and
developer presentations
* Configure lab hardware/software
Skills
*Knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language - Java/Python/etc.
*Experience with Unix/Linux
*Experience with networking concepts
*Written and verbal communication skills
