The American Collegiate Go Association (ACGA) is holding its first Spring
Open event in Boston on April 7 and 8, at MIT’s Whitaker Building,
beginning at 10 AM. On April 7, Chinese 1p Stephanie Mingming Yin will lead
an all-day workshop and review session, free for college students, and $20
for anyone else who attends – lunch will be provided, as well as the chance
for questions and personalized review. On April 8, a sit-down tournament ($
15, free for college students) will be held at the same location, complete
with prizes and a chance to apply the learning from the previous day. “We
strongly encourage any interested players in the New England area to attend,
” says ACGA organizer Cole Pruitt, “especially college students, for whom
