HONOLULU (Reuters) - Canada's Stephen Ames and American Tom Johnson were
disqualified after the Sony Open second round on Friday for signing
incorrect scorecards.
Trinidad-born Ames, winner of last year's Players Championship, signed
for a four on the 18th where he in fact made a regulation par-five.
Ames completed rounds of 72 and 71 and, despite his error, would have
missed the halfway cut which fell at level-par 140.
PGA Tour rookie Johnson marked down a par-three at the 11th where h | m*r

actually, there is no other excuse but signing a incorrect scorecards which
leads a player disqualified.

另外一个球员似乎有cheating的嫌疑。
我读Arnold Palmer的书playing golf by rule后很多案例，大多都是关于角逐冠军和
disqualification的鲜活例子，给我的感觉是men's golfers里有意cheating的不多，
只是对规则不是那么懂，后来很多人都是自己承认违规要求被处罚的。

's why so many cases happened everywhere, and every tournaments.
basically, most of the penality after signing a wrong scorecard is
disqualification, add some stokes to the existing score cards before signing
a scorecard.
once game is done, all case is closed, no further penality on the given
result.
