the same distance for all clubs.
it's all about the impact, maybe ET can post something telling us how to hit
the sweet spot consistently.

try to use 3 iron to hit a 50 yard pitching shot.
then use 5 iron to hit the same distance, then same distance 7 iron, 9 iron
once you done that, you would know the different between long iron and short
iron more. and you got better sense on speed, tempo and impact.

你这里说的pitching shot是跟开杆一样的动作么？
我们上课的时候pitching会挥动更小的距离，重心更靠前。

I have not seen this before until you posted it here. I found these on my
own, actually.
Back to 2 years ago, I praticed chipping at home, I tried the irons around,
and realized if I could make good contact for long irons (judge by the sound
, and how the ball rolls) by the chipping motion, there is no reason that I
couldn't hit long irons good when doing the full swing.
since then, I focus on the contact more than anything els

describe a little bit more? ET, Aff, anybody else? I basically have the same
problem...every iron i hit is almost in the same distance as LZ.

to tell the contact. Attach moistured baking soda to the club face. You can
easily tell your contact. Also, practice real grass, and the divot tells
where you hit the grass, and your correct ball position. | ET

movement to feel what's the difference. try 10 or 20 balls, you will find
sometimes, the contact is so crisp, effortless, then remember that, repeat
and see if you can hit more like that.
or other similar scenaior is, bounce a tennis ball on the tennis racquet. u
can feel what the sweet spot delives on the ball.
