before i bought my fairway woods, i was told that fairway woods is easier to
hit compare to driver.
but laterly, i watch some clips, some pro all said they kinda like driver
better. example: fred couple, tim clark, and john daly
my own case is that i feel driver is more consistent than fairway woods. and
if there is time i can either hit a driver or a fairway woods, i would
definitely go with driver.

发帖数: 321 | 2 I feel driver is harder for me to hit, since it is the longest club. Also, I
slice more with longer clubs so 3-wd has been better for me. I feel my
problem is that I could not release the club face on time therefore the club
face was open on impact.
But I think it also makes sense if drive turns out better for some people,
since it have much bigger hitting area therefore more forgiving if you hit
it off-center.

but it did take long time for me to get used to the fariway woods.
for TOUR players, they use the fariway woods for more accuracy tee shot.
their 3-woods goes about 260 yards, in the meantime, which is big advantage
for those 7000-yard course.
driver or woods, now it depends on my strategy and options. for those more
than 380-yard par4, I definitely use driver 'coz my 2nd shot is so much
easier to birdie chance; for those par4 between 330 to 380 yards, I use 3
