Not only would it be more chances for birdies, but also it mentally affects
the opponents.
Last Sat. match-play, I drove my balls beautifully, I guess i was just 10-
yard short than the cheating 9-handicap guy in the last match. But he is big
, like 200 lbs, he made the solid sound from his driver. I can't make that
swing sound/ball-contact sound, which I believe, mentally hurt me.. well, I

you can always recover (or make up) the distance (say 10 yards difference)
with solid second shot.
once, i went out with my buddy at shoreline.
the 12th hole was acrossing a pond. i drove 220, land on the side of fairway
around the pond, my buddy drove 290 all the way to the greenside bunker.
skip the rest of the story, he end up bogey, and i finish with a birdie.
but it is very intimedating to play with a guy can drive 290.

week ago, the sound was just not pleasing the ears but I never drove better.
.. But the mental effect does matters, bad mode can screw up the whole game.

but... since most of club heand are made of Titanium nowadays..the noise
sound would be varying, but the solid contact sound, is , pretty much same
for several brands I've paid attention to. like TM burner, NIKE sumo2 ，and
Callaway Ft-i.
the key thing is still the swing speed. I bet headspeed >130mph will
generate that sound. (swing speed > 120mph).
