destructed yesterday. So now I'll need some beginner-friendly-and-self-
esteem-boost course in Bay Area. I wonder if I'm cut out for 18-hole at this
point.
And trust me, it is bad. On the bright side, I did record my first par by
sinking a 20-foot putt and closed out the front 9 with 1 par and 2 bogey.
But damn, back 9 ... I'd rather pretend it did not happen. | t****i

my personal feeling about the difficulty of courses is very different to the
course rating/slope.

difficult it plays. Most of the time I play courses with slopes in the mid
130s including my home course, and occasionally I play courses in the 140s.
What I can tell you is that those with slopes of 140s really play very
difficult.

for example, someone may not like the elevated course, someone maybe not
like link-sytle windy course, someone may not like long course, someone may
not water harzard, someone may not like many sand trap, someone may not like
narrow fairway/long grass/tree lines, and the overall (in general) all
those feature would make the course more difficult, ie, hig

hazard. There is no index for that, haha.
For example, in Pacific NW, the course here normally have a lot of trees,
very hard sand traps and muddy. So, To me, because I play those a lot. I may
not concern those more than a guy from Arizona where the course is totally
different "style".
Man, we need to work on our 'Mental' part. That's the heart of golf.

just curious how well did your other partners do on the course?
you need find out "it is not your day" or "it is not your course"
if others were all doing well, that indicates, it might just mean it was not
your day.
if everyone else was surfferring/struggling just as you were, i would say,
it was not your course.
