After playing difficult par-4s back-to-back at the 10th and 11th holes,
golfers look at the scorecard and see that the 12th is a short par-4
carrying the number 16 handicap and measuring just 299 yards from the blue
tees and 282 from the whites. Anyone who thinks they are catching a break
had best think again.
