$1 fairway wood offer ends this month. stiff for driver, regular flex for
wood.
liked the clubhead shape, and adilda DVS shaft
90 days 100% exchange or stotre credit ganranteee.
i am tempted to give it try. but taylormade is used by so many.
anybody experienced this driver?

b*******e 发帖数: 724 | 2 I hate to say this. Save the money! a new driver doesn't help correct
swing flaws. You will probably hit longer and straighter paying a pro that
money for a couple of lessons. BTW, I somehow cannot get used to 460cc
drivers, they look too big to me. It must be just me. No one else seems to
have issues with large-head drivers. |
v***s 发帖数: 4031 | 3 Do you really need a 3 wood? If not, don’t buy them. Besides, try out the
Big Bertha Diablo Driver and get the feel in your swing. |
A*f 发帖数: 3067 | 4 did you try all the new drivers?
"go to all those demo sessions and try all of them there,
go with the one you like most." would be my suggestions.
both callaway and taylormade are big name brands in terms of making driver.

i tried the 3wood at lauch monitor yesterday, almost hit as long as the

feel easy to hit and forgiving.
i was comparing taylormade burner vs. callaway (both come with free 3wood)
the difference is that there are more loft choice for callaway(8 to 10),
also Adilda NV green shaft for free.
burner (non Tour prefer verion) only 9.5 and 10.5, and have to pay more |
v*****r 发帖数: 2325 | 6 "Research indicates that lighter shafts are, in general, better for the
average golfer. Less weight produces shots of greater distance and accuracy
for beginning and intermediate players. The low handicappers and pros have
higher swing speeds, more control over the movements of the club and they
possess an acute sense of 'feel' for the head of the club. The shafts best
suited for them typically are higher in gram weight and have heavier
swingweights." |
v***s 发帖数: 4031 | 7 Go with your feelings and get them, but I know from my experience, an Aldila
shaft will take time to get accustomized to it. I bought a Cleveland HiBore

used of it, and then I bought a Nike SQ Sumo 2 5900 Driver with an Aldila VS
Proto Shaft this month. It took me a while to get with it. I really like it
and the Aldila Shaft's reduced my slice shots but kept the distances I want
to.
Anyway, I can't generate a club head spe

v*****r 发帖数: 2325 | 8 found some user experience at golfsmith.com, 18 reviews, less than burner,
but more than most other drivers.
most say forgiving and easy to hit,
babyhorse: reviews said that this one sound great at impact
most complaints are about shaft, and lack of mark at crown for address
will check it out at demo, already got callaway golf bag, may go with
callaway driver...
so far, i feel i probably try 8* or 9* loft neutral, adlilad NV copper 55g
User experience:

v*****r 发帖数: 2325 | 9 thanks for the feedback on adidla shaft.
i was talking about ball speed 150mph, not club head speed (even long
driving champ could not be that fast with clubhead speed). for most launch
monitors, that's the speed directly meausred. club head speed is estimated
using some kind of formula... also LM accuracy at local store is questionable i guess.
if you club head speed 115-120, you can drive 290- 300 yard on regular basis. that's in the range of PRO long hitter level.
bring the driver you usua

tested today at range, a couple of good shots, carry both 3wood and driver to middle section of 230 yard back fence.

v*****r 发帖数: 2325 | 13 not sure it's mental effect or swing techniqes, since you know you get
better clubs now, it's supposed to produce good distance and ball flight, so
you expect more good results and positive with them.
but which hit solid and right trojectory, the feeling of impact is really
really good. i have 90 days to experiment with diffiernt driver loft and
shaft, will try them after a month.... current order going with a light
shaft Aldilda NVS 55g, and low loft 13* for 3wood. but see a lot of pro

v***s 发帖数: 4031 | 14 I used to have a 13 degree strong 3 wood and hoped to hit the ball to the

successfully hit it over 200 yards with my fairway shots. It was difficult
for me to hit it on the fairway, even though I could hit it over 230 yards
at a driving range. It's just my two cents. Hope this won't discourage you
about having the strong 3 wood.

v*****r 发帖数: 2325 | 15 what does "strong" mean? less loft?
yesterday hitting 15* regular flex, i dropped the ball onto grass in front
of mattress, and hit from there. hit the back fence before landing. but
that's only one out of 12 shots. still some swing problems.
i never hit fairward wood over 200yard on course either, but that's because
i never did that on range before. i play 3 18-hole round this year, didn't
find much differnce between range and course yet. hit at range bad, hit on
course bad too. vers vers

v*****r 发帖数: 2325 | 17 9*N with 55g adilda arrive today. tested at range. no signicant distance
gain. most in 200-234 yard range. carry to 234 yeard fence if saw clearly
very very few.
aff you are right, even routine 230yard driving is not bad at all. glance
around, didn't see anybody hit longer than me today.
the 15* 3wood is very easy to hit, very very few mishit, and distance is
about same as driver. the trojectory is about right. maybe i will give up
13* and stay with 15*.
hit about 50 shots with 3wood and driv |

Take your time and get known about the driver and shaft. Hope you will like
it after three or four tryouts.
