you play there before, can you book the tee
my plan was just driving there in the very early morning and take whatever
available tee time.

called the pro shop, who told me have to arrive bettwen 6:30-7:30am.
early bird is for 9 holes only, 15 bucks without breakfast, they usualy
ask you tee off from back nine.
but i am not sure, last time play, saw so many people hoping around holes,
jumping from one hole to next next hole, somthing like that, maybe you can
still play 18 holes with 15 bucks...
if you want to play 18 holes, you pay regular green fee which is over 30
bucks without cart...

i still have scorecard at my desk, only one par4 only #10 is < 400yard. par3 is 20x and 220yard or so. but i guess disttance is not an issue for you
recall that most fairway turning, have to put ball in correct spots to have easier next shot.
not sure i sucked last time or it's harder than front nine. horrilble play last time at backnine. will go there for an revenge sometime later.

with breakfast. not bad.
there is no one ahead of me or behind me till #16, feel like my own private
backyard.
course: standard muni course, with tree line on both side of fairway,
fairway, as name indicated, fair way. green was ok, not much gimmick. didnt
play sand. not many hazardous, just be aware of tree lines. there are waters
, but didnt get into play.
two par5 are interesting:
#14 563 par5 (blue tee), long, but fa

backnine is ok la.
#11 fairway is turning dramatically, like 90 degree. i realized it after i
tee off, and walk along the fairway. prior knowledge of course would help
for #11, #14, #18.
the rest are just typical muni course par4.
par3 is 20x and 220yard or so. but i guess disttance is not an issue for
you

from blue.
only get 130 from black tee. i should have play from blue, while you could
try black. i like the course offering more options.
if drive ball straight, tree lines shouldn't be a problem. but it's serious
problem to slicer like me..
hole #5 is probably the hardest par5. last time play from black tee, very
narrow and uneven fairway from black tee. first shot driver, slice into
woods at right. second 3wood, in short

#3 par5 is the hardest (where black tee make difference, about 46 yards back from blue, makes the fairway opening even narrower) where black and blue difference is less than 20 yards. not much difference. but over 20 yards, i guess difference.
#5 is very easy par5, where i got a 265 drive and 3putts bogey. I treat
bogey as par, and par as birdie.

the #14 563 par5, my second shot, 3wood, end up going through the tree.
lucky i got a par, and #18 514 par5, my second shot, 3wood was not so lucky
and hit the tree, bounce back to the fairway, and land outside 200 yard mark
. i hit another 3wood, and a pitch to get on the green.
i was tempting to play black tee, but later i think that would mean i need
use all the hybrids for approaching, i want to play some irons to improve my
shots around 150, my weak

in the eastbay area, not yet heard other good courses offer early bird.
there are some good courses in danville, but mostly private, used to host
LPGA...
a practice course 9 hole at las positas livermore 10 bucks , and pleasanton
golf center 9 bucks around 6pm

design.... don't know why the heck it claims to be that hard. shorter than
Boundary oak... maybe sometime later we can get guys in south bay come here

if you want to try hard course by john miller, check out metroplitan at OAK
airport first. you might have an idea why others say john miller's design
outrageous.
i havent checked out bridges yet. it is so close by and i drive pass it
everyday, it is so attempt to stop by and have a round there. but since i
have been warned many many times, untill i feel very good about my shot, i
wont challenge that course. even scratch golfer claim
