and I've see people saying the swings are supposed to be the same.
However, this is what happened to me in the last week.
I had terrible woods shot especially 3 wood.My iron shot was ok. Last
weekend a guy gave me a tip to turn my right shoulder together with left
foot in downswing ...(I am right handed) this tip fixed my 3 wood instantly.
I was hitting 3 wood nice and easy at 180-190 yards. I was so happy. My
drive got improved too -- straight and consistent at 210-230 yards. Went to
Santa Teresa and got +1, 0, 0, +1, +1 for the first 5 holes before it went
dark.(mostly drive and wood shots)
I apply the same motion to irons ... it totally sucks. I keep hitting the
ground first before hitting the ball.Even my chip shot got lost.
Played a round yesterday ... got terrible scores.Drive to fairway, then mis
hit irons. Had 3 pars, 2 bogeys for 5 holes but then +3, +4 for the rest
because I could not hit any iron.
I am gonna try going back to my old swing motion (left shoulder leading).
Hopefully I can still do it for the irons. | v***s

half an inch in the front of the ball for any of my irons down swing.

shoulder turn may be too early/quick during downswing, try to delay
shoulder turn. 3wood swing requires more slightly more
aggressive/athletic move, so when you return to iron, you may still in aggressive mode, which may translates to quicker turn.
use a couple of practice swing to brush brass before iron shot. use 3/4
swing. these should help to prevent your error to some degree.
axis of downswing arc is the left side of body ( left feet-leg-hip-back
with hip open to target), keep an image of the axis on mind during
downswing helps to maintain spine angle and return club face.

发帖数: 4031 | 5 I am happy with my driving off the tee so far, 60% in the fairway, average
driving distance 245 yards including the short ones. However, I still have
the PULL-LEFT issue, particularly for the first few holes. My 3 woods is
getting better as the confident level increases. I just missed another eagle
putt opportunity for a par 5 on the weekend.
I also find out when driving the ball further, we don't get many chances to
use the long irons for the mediocre golf courses I play.

for iron and wood, you can try adjust your weight distribution and ball

Went to range yesterday and tried to aim in front of the ball for irons and
it appeared to be working.
Will go to course tomorrow to see how it works.

我的眼睛都看着球前边2寸左右，along the target line。铁杆的稳定性，突然提高了
很多，approaching shots 效果不是一般的好。可是，wood shots 开始走下坡路了。
你这个不同的瞄准点很有启发。
敢问Frank兄，原理是什么？多问一句，for driver, 你瞄准点在那儿？

发帖数: 4031 | 9 铁杆击球，是要先击球，再挥转到最低点。这最低点一定会在球前面，我喵的的那一点就是我想要的草皮起点。至于木杆和混杆，应该是扫球式的挥法，尽管我的木杆和混杆也会带出草皮，但这草皮是从球下或球后开始。往后喵一点是想把球打起来。最近，我都是喵球的后半园，想把球打的低一些。
开球杆，我倒是没想过，应该是扫球吧。
