跟风写写2012的最后一场球.
Last Friday morning, walked El Dorado golf course with bag on my shoulders.
Finally I reached the goal I set for 2012 - walk a full-length course
carrying my bag. During the year, I walked quite a few rounds but all on the
shorter courses (Fullerton and Dad Miller). I played from blue tee with
three guys riding the golf carts. They offered to give me a ride after the
third, which I turned down.
Played from blue tee (~6400 yards), I got 94 with 32 puts. The biggest
killer was a call from my wife when I was in the fairway of the 7th. I lost
a ball (one of the two lost balls during the round) at the very next shot
and had three double bogeys at 7th, 8th, and 9th. There was a post on "手感
大杀器", here we go. :-)
I tested several clubs with stiffer shaft - A SL290 driver with Miyazaki C-
kua x-stiff and a set of old Mizuno T-zoid Pure
irons with s300 shaft. The stiffer shafts got me straighter and lower
trajectories, both on driver and irons. For the irons, I got all pull shots,
flush or mishit, straight to the left. Distances were about the same as my
normal set (AP2 with PX5.0). The driver required a very smooth swing - when
I did that, it produced a penetrating/low ball and went about 250 yards (not
bad in a wet and cold morning). However, if I added any abrupt wrist motion
in the swing, the ball went to right (slice). I am not sure whether the
driver head or the x-stiff shaft caused that. Still need some time to figure
that out. I think a little more stiffness in the shaft shall help my game.
Overall it was a good round. Carrying bag did not seem to worsen my score. I
did feel sourness in my feet at 15th. I will certainly play more rounds
this way in 2013. | A*f

I played my 2012的最后一场球 after I played a so-so round on 28th.
Determined to leave a positive note for the end of 2012, I went out to play
another round on 30th on the highest rating course. We didn't get chance to
complete the round, but I managed to shot two birdies within 15 holes we
played. Only bad news is that I lost my Pitch wedge.
Now I am debating on getting a new P wedge (MP59) or a used one (MP52), or
just custom order a Titleist.

GOOD COND.觉得二手货足够好了.还打算买个GAP WEDGE(52),这样可以把老的那支留在
后院练习CHIPPING,免的拿来拿去麻烦.老的那只GROVE都磨的快没了. | p****4
发帖数: 517 | 4 Pitching wedge is so important. I would find one matching or close to the
one that got lost. If you are to get a different club, make sure you can hit
the distance you did.
