Not that expensive. But not so cheap as I had thought.
1 bdr may cost 360-410. 2 bdr may cost 470-550, close to campus.
If far away from campus, 2 bdr only cost 360 or so on.
it depends. Yes no
Maybe you can apply for the Apt. of Campus. Some lease are based on 3-month.
I am not sure about this. | x*x 发帖数: 365 | 2
Don't worry about housing. You will spend $180-$450 per month on it,
depending on the apartment type (1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms or 3 bedrooms).
The cheapest way is to share a 3 bedroom apartment with two other guys.
Dining cost about 150 for one and 250 for two persons. Other expense
may include fees, heath insurance, utility, clothing, .... 1000/month
is definitely enough for a single. If you have spouse and child, 200
or 300 more is enough. | h****m 发帖数: 10 | 3 It depends. I used to live near Meijer, which is a supermarket a bit far away
from the campus and it costs ~$800/month for a 1 bedroom apartment.
Fortunately, Champaign is on the latest list of US cities with the worst house
appreciation rates in the country - minus 4% last year. So rents shouldn't be
going up.
Anyway, it's a great school, even though I took only 1 class there.
