HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
People who wish to use one of Pennsylvania's public shooting ranges on
state game lands now need to buy a $30 range use permit or possess a
hunting or furtaker license.
The new requirement took effect April 1.
The ranges were designed to give hunters a place to sight in their rifles
and practice before hunting season, but the Game Commission said the
ranges get heavy use from non-hunters, many of which are not using hunting
rifles. |
