If you like the style, don't go ruger, but consider Erma .22 luger, relatively cheap to buy, cheap to shoot, similar firing mechanism to the real P08, hergestellt in Deutschland. Or a Steoger .22 luger, american made, a little bit inferior in quality. Actually, this gun meets all your criteria in the other post: metal frame, wooden furniture, good target shooting and complicated to clean and maintain (the reason why it was replaced by P38 in the first place....lol).
This is on my shopping list, maybe next year.
