They do it by volume but basically wholesale dealers naturally get a break.
They do not make that much but rely on volume of sales. My cost for most of
the Glock plain jane models is around $440 from the wholesale dealers, a bit
more for night sights etc. Dealers can mark it what they want, from retail
to mostly 100 over cost, then can bargain it down or toss in a box of shells
or something. I only sell to law enforcement friends and add $20. I don't
have a business so no overhead and do it mainly as a hobby and help them out
. Depends what area you live on what the other gun shops sell them for.
