Congratulations.
At 1997, I bought two handguns from local gun stores (one is Turner's
Outdoorsman at Pasadena, another store was in Alhambra but lone gone, but I
still have the receipt), and a Ruger 10/22 LR 22 rifle from Walmart. I still
have all the receipts for all three guns. At that time, I followed all the
legal procedures, and waited 2 weeks for FBI checks. But I don't remember I
have 枪证. I never register my guns with police.
Do I need a 枪证 in California? Do I have to register (or tell) with police
I have guns? Are there law changes after 1997? I'm sure there are, but are
there new laws require me to do something about my guns?

It doesn't say anything about handguns you owned already, but requires new
purchased or imported handguns to be registered. No registration is needed
for long guns.

26. How do I know if my firearms need to be registered?
There is no firearm registration requirement in California except for
assault weapon owners and personal handgun importers. |
