发帖数: 4248 | 2 llinois is the only state that has a FOID card. Everytime you purchase a gun
legally from a gun store, a background check is performed. How many
background checks does it take. Until someone who has been treated or being
treated for mental health issue has their information correlated with the
FBI database, nothing will change. I agree more guns in the hands of the
good guys is the answer too, but there are big Libs that will log in here
shortly and call us gun nuts. In the case of this Lanza kid. His mother
sheltered him so much that his mental health condition may not have been
known other that a Dr. that prescribed his meds. In that case, the Dr.
should be forced to report him, but he did not buy these guns. There is
nothing that could have stopped Lanza other than a armed teacher, principal,
or security guard.

Currently the Illinois State Police Firearms Services Bureau is experiencing
a record number of Firearm Owner Identification (FOID) card applications
each month.
Due to the increase in volume of applications,
a FOID card application is taking approximately 60 days from the time the
payment is processed to the time the card is issued. If you plan to call the
FOID customer service line at 217/782-7980 to obtain the status of your
FOID application, please allow
60
days from the time your payment was cashed. If you do call, please be
prepared to provide your full name, date of birth and most importantly the 8
-digit number stamped on the front your cashed check. If you completed your
FOID application through a firearms dealer/store, please contact the dealer/
store to obtain the range of numbers associated with your application.

Cashed。结果上个月20号打电话去问，说还在背景调查，而且不知还要查多久，真想问
候他们母亲的。
