One year ago, I upgraded to 4x2G and now I have no place to put new memory.

now, let's say $50; or buy 2x8G now, let's say $350. then when you need 32G,
and 8G is cheap, in first option, you can buy 4x8G to replace, let's say $
200; in 2nd option, you can buy another 2x8G to replace, let's say $100.
so it's $50+$200+extra 2x4G, vs $350+$100. the choice is clear.
really need 16G, 2x8G is better than 4x4G.

发帖数: 2859 | 10 First. I did not suggest to buy 8G stick now. I kept suggesting to buy when 8G is not enough. 8G total is good enough for me now. When I need 16G, it's probably one year from now. the 8G stick price will drop.
It's no brainer to buy 2x4G instead of 2x8G if you buy NOW.
And at that time I can sell the 2x4G and get some money back, when 2x4G can still worth something.
