Alright, here's a guide on how to Mine Ethereum, based on my recent
experiences mining this stuff.
Step 1. Acquire an Amd Radeon Rx470/480/570/580 for your desktop computer at
reasonable prices. If you can't, Nvidia FeForce GTX 1060 is ok too
Step 2. Install the card, duh, and install the latest drivers if you are
using 570/580. Install driver 15.12 if you are using 470/480.
Step 3. Go download Ethereum-Wallet-win64-0-8-8.zip or Ethereum-Wallet-win32
-0-8-8.zip depending on if you are using win32 or 64. https://github.com/
ethereum/mist/releases
Step 4. Set up your wallet and let the blockchain sync, check this video if
you are confused: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6lE0Ctaeqs . Make sure
your C drive has sufficient space, 10 GB should be enough.
Step 5. Copy your wallet adress, should look like
0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F
Step 6. Go download Claymore Mining Software from https://bitcointalk.org/
index.php?topic=1433925.0
You are going to be using that to actually mine your ethereum. Extract it to
a folder
Step 7. For this guide we are going to be mining as a part of a "pool", this
way you get paid more consistently. I'm gonna use nanopool as an example
but you can use others.
Step 8. Go to https://nanopool.org/, click on "Quick Start", click on 3.
Generate your config, and fill it in like so using your info such as your
wallet address from step 5:
Step 9. Click generate, you will get a zip file, unzip it and put both files
in your Claymore miner folder and overwrite existing files.
Step 10. double click on start.bat in the claymore file and you should start
mining. Every time you see the following it means you mined successfully:
Payout is set to automatically deposit into your wallet at 0.2 ETH
Step 11: Check on your mining status by going to https://eth.nanopool.org/
account/0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F
Replace the above wallet address with your own.

Optional steps to increase money gain:
1. Change your minimum payout to 0.05 so you see your payout faster. Go to
your own page at Step 11, click settings, and then put in your email. Beware
that you can only change your min payout threshold after you mined a bit.
2. Your Hash rate is directly correlated to how much success you have. My
hash rate is at 29MH/s after modding my RX580. If you don't mod it, you will
probably see 22MH/S.
BIOS modding your graphics card is another level of complexity that I'm not
gonna go over here.
3. Also if you mod your BIOs, you can reduce your power draw which saves on
electricity money.

After you do that, you will get around 19-20 MH/s hash rate, which is pretty

问一下，pool报告的hashrate, 常常低于claymore显示的,算正常现象么？家里几台电
脑同时挖，都用一个pool(不同worker),还是用不同的pool,会有区别么？ | l******o

Hmm how to explain this...
So Let's say Claymore shows you are at 30MH/s, but pool is saying you are at
26MH/s, you think the pool is ripping you off right? Well not quite. The
hash rate at the pool is calculated using the amount of shares you've mined,
which most likely is not going to be quite up to par of 30MH/s. This is why
you will sometimes see 68MH/s spikes and 11MH/s dips on the pool graph.
Ideally, after 24 hours or so, the MH/s rate will even out, but it might
still be lower than the number claymore is reporting. After all,
successfully mining and submitting shares is quite a bit luck based, and you
can't be lucky 100% of the time (that would give you your 100% hash rate of
30MH/s)
And then for your second question, theoretically it should be the same for
both scenarios, however if I were in your shoes, I would set each of my
machines to mine for different pools, because I honestly can't tell which
pool is the best, so I like to spread out and try them all. One advantage of
having multiple machines mining on one pool is that you will get your
payout quicker assuming you use the same wallet address, if you care about
that.

Not really, 1080 Ti is more suited for mining Sia and VertCoin(Lyra2Rev2).
It gets 35MH/s for mining ethreum which looks good on paper until you factor
in the monster electricity costs.
